Tax Credits for Alternative Energy

Upgrading your home to be more self sufficient
with Alternative Power can be a good write off
on your taxes.

Making alternative power improvements
to your home should pay for themselves
in about 4 years. Now there is another
way to go about getting them to pay
quicker.

The Solar plans, windmill
plans and more can be bought,
and are complete.

You can build these alternative energy
producing units yourself, and you can do
this cheaply.

Just for an example, start small with
a solar hot water heater, and you will see
the savings on your next electric or gas bill.

Might as well give it a look before it is forced
upon you.

Solar or Wind Power is it Worth it?

In todays economy we have to watch the
money we spend to save us money. This is
going to be true for a long time to come
in all our choices, from healthcare, vehicles
we buy, to the type of power we use.

Wind and solar power are getting alot of
attention these days due to the worry over
climate change and air polution, plus the
cap and trade bill which is going to require
alot of changes in the way we produce power.

We, myself included, need to look at becoming
more self sufficient in our personal lives.

I am not really talking about going green,
which actually fits in, but just plain and simple,
saving money on your electric and or gas bill.

I would not go and invest 15 or 20 grand on
a big power producing windmill, it will take to
long to see any money saved. The alternative is
to build your own power source, Windmill or Solar
and just cut your dependancy on the big companies.

This building your own power source is inexpensive
and anyone can do it.

The materials needed to do this are local,
and you can be experiencing a very good feeling
when you see your power bill cut in 1/2 or more.

Remember, there is going to be more tax
on power, plus the regular increases from
the power companies.

Yes it will be Worth the time and money.

Cap and Trade Bill what's the Cost?

The Cap and Trade bill that is 1200 pages long
is going to affect our lives in a way that is going
to get expensive and not produce positive results
from the monies.

With all of the talk about how little this
will cost each household is incorrect. We are
going to end up paying in more ways than one.

According to one side the cost will be
about 175.00 per year, the other side has it
at 3100.00 per year.
Beings the bill will be about
2 trillion dollars to implement I go with the
bigger numbers. Where is the money going to
come from to pay this extra 3 grand a year.
That is a car payment to me,and if I want a new car payment
I will buy a new car.

I don't know if there is any upside to this but there
there is a way around part of it.

It is possible to create your own power, using,
wind or solar and more.
Yes, you can increase your MPGs buy building
a hydrogen generator and installing it on your vehicle.

With what this cap and trade bill is going to
cost, all of these will pay for themselves very quickly.

Obama's Plan going to Cost You

I was watching Fox news this morning Sunday 4/5/2009
and I just heard about president Obama's plan to tax all the electricty
we use and more taxes on gas and oil.
According to Fox News this tax on the power that we consume
is going to cost each household about an extra 3100.00 a year.
Now this means an increase of 258.33 out of your budget
every month, now this is not counting the extra tax on fuel
or anything else. I don't know about you but I can't
afford it.
The only good part that I can see, is that the
republicans and the Democrats are both fighting
this and that could put a halt to this increase.

In the mean time we had all better look for some
alternatives, because even if it doesn't make it
through the congress and senate. you can bet it will
come back through some other proposal.

I bought this ebook I have on this blog
about building windmill generators and solar power
quite awhile back and my wife told me after watching
Fox News that I had better get busy and build.

I also have water 4 gas and how to make bio diesel
plans one of which I am using and the other I
have been procrastinating on.

That is all for now till I get time to
watch some more news.

Saving Money using Wind and Solar

Saving money is the main reason for using an alternative power, but there are other objectives also.
Like having power when there is a power loss on the main grid, selling power back to the power
companies when you are making more than you use.
Wind and solar power together is a clean way to create energy for your home and saving you
money in the process. Wind and Solar power are a renewable energy source and is available
everywhere. This is a great way to provide power to your home without paying the power
companies to use more oil and coal.
There is nothing better than being independant or FREE.

Wind Power

Wind power is derided by those critical of the idea as the kind of power used a couple of centuries ago to power the big sail ships that discovered the American continent to begin. Granted, this is a reasoning which at face value is hard to argue. But, there are also other considerations to keep in mind. The pros and cons of wind power are hardly simplistic.

As a renewable energy source, wind power is sometimes hailed as being the answer to those who are not sure where the solar power debate is going. After all, it is plentiful, available around the world, can be harnessed, and of course makes for extensive energy applications.

Sadly, this is where the list of positive attributes by and large stops. A listing of the pros and cons of wind power showcases that the itemization on the con side is a lot more plentiful. The predictability of the wind, for example, leaves a lot to be desired and it is entirely possible to not experience any wind during certain times.

Even though wind power is mainly an energy resource that replaces fossil power generation, it can also be used for replacing existing power plant capacity. In areas where wind power production is high during peak demand, wind power can replace other capacity by up to 40 percent of the installed wind power capacity.

In addition, the impact that the creation of wind harnessing mills has on the environment is somewhat questionable. There is the clearing of vast fields that must be discussed, the impact on animals caught in the turbines, and of course the aesthetics involved in seeing vast open spaces littered with these contraptions. The cost is also sometimes cited as being too high for the actual wind energy that may be obtained from the turbines being operated.

Barrel of Oil Really Jumped

Yesterday the price of a barrel of oil went up 11.00 in one day which is a record breaking jump. The price of a barrel of oil had been dropping a little
the last couple of days before.
I am beginning to wonder if the countries we buy oil from are trying to
ruin us from the inside instead of an out an out attack. With Iran acting up from all I have heard, if something happens there the price of oil will shoot through the roof as they supply something like 1/4 of all the oil we buy.
The price of oil is hurting us all but will really hurt the folks that
are on social security that are going to have to use oil to heat their homes
this next winter. This is wrong as these people have worked and earned the
right to enjoy life and they will not be able to enjoy life if it costs triple to heat their home.
Time to start drilling here at home. Take the power out of their hands.
